How to Register to Vote
Every Louisiana voter can register, update, or confirm status through GeauxVote and their parish Registrar of Voters.

Register or Update Online
Use GeauxVote Online Registration with a Louisiana driver’s license or Louisiana special ID (you will need the AUDIT code on the card). Online registration must be completed at least 20 days before the election.

Apply at your parish Registrar of Voters, or download the Louisiana voter registration application and mail it to your Registrar. In-person and mail applications must be submitted (or postmarked, if mailed) at least 30 days before the election.

Who can register
- You are a U.S. citizen
- You are at least 18 years old on or before Election Day
- You are a resident of Louisiana
- You are not under an order of imprisonment for conviction of a felony (or you have had voting rights restored as allowed by law)
